The Amber Stringtrio came together in 2020 through joint studies at the Bern University of the Arts.
The three women acquired a versatile repertoire in which they increasingly devote themselves to rarities such as the string trios of Ferdinand Ries. But also the classics of the less established genre “string trio”, they meet with extreme precision, variety of timbres and a great love for details. In addition to the jewels of Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven and Reger, the trio indulges in the South American music of Astor Piazzolla with a lot of joy and energy, which offers them a good inspiration for new playing techniques and musical understanding. The ensemble has been awarded “Chamber Music Excellence” several times by the Bern University of the Arts, which enables them to bring their programme closer to a larger audience.
